The NFL will play the Black National Anthem before games this year they said. I asked our lone black employee what he thought the song should be. After thinking a bit he came up with a bute.

Theme from Jefferson's.

I about cried laughing.

Actually they've been talking about doing it for a few years now, not because of "racist overtones", but because in hopes that the name change will make it more palatable for consumers and make a market for them.  Same thing happened with Orange Roughy, they were originally called Slimehead and nobody wanted them. Now people love them.

I agree completely about politics and sports but I quit watching football
long before that
Between the rule changes, instant replay, time outs every other play
endless commercial breaks and chattering morons for announcers,
it simply became unwatchable.
