Anyone here do Crossfit? My son just started and he has inspired me to add some Crossfit style workouts into my regular routine. I just finished today's lunch hour workout.

.25 mile run
5 pull ups  (on the 4th set I switched to 145lb lat pull)
20 push ups
10 clean and jerk (80 lbs)
60-90 second rest.
Repeat 6x

Took about 45 minutes. Definitely a killer workout. My heartrate, sweat level, and shakiness after is comparable to an hour of BJJ and grappling. I am going to have to put this workout into regular rotation.

With the physical abuse I subjected my body too when I was younger....even being down nearly 80 ;lbs at this point, I am limited to walking and some resistance training...

With only a single ligament holding my left shoulder together and a couple bum knees, plus some pretty decent arthritis....I'm happy doing what I can  :)

I did crossfit in my early fifties. I thought I was in great shape until I joined up. Most of the members were ex-military or police. The owner was a local cop. I ended up quitting after about six months because of my workload at work. I was only getting in one or two sessions per week. at $125 a month I couldn't justify the cost.

I did it for a while a few years ago, but I have dodgy shoulders and back so I was never able to fully take advantage of it.  Started F45 instead to prepare for an Ironman race and loved it.  Covid broke the spell and I haven't been training nearly as much for the last year, need to get back to it or I'll end up fat again lol

Cheers

Last time I did anything like that, I was 52.
Now, I'm lucky to get in 60 push-ups, and 10 laps in the hotel pool. Trying to do one more pu than my age..
Next week is 63.
Keep plugging dude.
I do miss my own pool to do egg eaters tho.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.
