A woman who works for my wife has a married daughter who's sick along with the husband and everyone else
who lives in the house. She's 6 months pregnant and has been to the ER a couple times.
(25 tears old  102° fever and vomiting for 2 weeks now)
They keep sending her home. The hospital is nearly full and say she's not sick enough for one of the few available beds
Hope it all turns out OK

Hopefully nobody else ends up hospitalized and the two that are come out of this ok. :(

I guess that's an example of being willing to die for your beliefs.

The guys sister just posted that he's getting Convalescent plasma therapy and is on oxygen right now.  Their father is in too and is having a lot more trouble.

I don't blame anyone for having vaccine hesitancy. Especially with vaccines that are this new.

The Father is in his late 70's and already has some health issues.  I don't know the story behind his not wanting the vaccination.

The son is my age. He doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke, and he eats pretty healthy. He hikes a lot and is generally pretty active. I've seen some of the things that he and his sister have posted on social media.  It's a lot of conspiracy stuff. I assume that he's not getting it because of some crap that he's read and not bothered to research.

Death is NOT a forgone conclusion when one gets COVID... contrary to popular belief.

Mortality rate is 10x that of most flu strains (according to congressional testimony)... IOW (.1% for the flu) 1% for COVID... meaning there is a 99% or better that you won't die from it. 99%. Is 1% of the population more valuable than 99%?

Is it REALLY in our best interest as a nation to make 10's of MILLIONS suffer for the 1% that will most likely die from other things anyway? I don't say that to be callous, I say that because honestly, we have lost our collective minds with this thing. Few decisions are being made based on "science". The majority are being based on the opposite of "science"... emotions. Yeah I get it. It affects the medically vulnerable among us the most... generally people we care deeply about. Totally get it. We don't want great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, etc... to suffer this thing. 💯% get it. I live with two people that have a lower than average survivability rate, one of whom is my wife of 27 years.  I don't want them to get this any more than I want anyone else to. But the irrationality of this thing has got to stop. Seriously.

The scientific fact is COVID is NOT ebola. It's not necrotising fascitis (sp?), it's not small pox, it's not bubonic plague, it's not Spanish flu, etc... ad infinitum, ad nauseum. It is something that has a very high survivability rate. Yeah it has a reasonable likelihood of kicking your ass pretty good. Putting you down for weeks. That being said, NOTHING the government has done or will do will eradicate or stop this thing. It's gonna do what it's gonna do. IOW it's gonna do virus stuff. So live your life. Turn off your TV's and give the finger to the people feeding and  profiting off your fears.

I'll accept vaccine mandates/passport when we can start mandating healthy eating/living. Until then, STFU and mind your own business.

I'd be happy if they started getting serious about the nastybug by closing the southern border, but that ain't gonna happen either.

I won't accept mandates for passports or healthy eating. If eating unhealthy (or healthy) is one of the ways that keeps you happy then go for it. That's as much of a right as owning weapons.
