Walgreen's web page asked me if I wanted any additional vaccines once I had scheduled
the Pfizer booster.
There were 5 different vaccines on the list.
I had been meaning to get a flu vaccine and I was surprised to see it being offered
along with a covid vaccine, but I figured they know more about it than me.
I will ask them while I'm there though

I take flu vaccines seriously.
Mrs gcode is allergic to them and we never took them.
About 4 years ago she caught the flu, thought she'd power through it and it damned
near killed her.
Mrs gocde hates emergency rooms and when  says she needs to go to the emergency room, she is SICK!!!
After that experience she gets a half dose flu shot at her doctor's office.
So far that's worked as she hasn't had the flu since.

Good idea!

Apparently, 'they' changed their tune and are now saying it's OK to get both at the same time (see link), so Walgreens is right.

If that were me, I'd spaced them out a few weeks.

You might want to research the flax seed.

The info I have seen is 1-2 tablespoons a day is good for you. More than that can lead to health issues. That can be said for a lot of plant based foods. Spinach is good for you, but too much will cause problems. If I switched out the daily kale for spinach I may be at risk for oxalate levels that cause kidney stones. You can get too much of a good thing.

Search flax seeds and testosterone. There's argument about how much of a drop there is but a high percentage agrees there is a drop. At my age I need all I can get.

Not sure what to think about that. I saw a video that referenced a study that tested testosterone uptake in rats that were fed chemically extracted phytoestrogens. The video author claims it is faulty because the chemically extracted is not absorbed the same as in plant form, and that is the study that the majority of people reference when claiming flaxseed will lower testosterone. His assertion was that it is the same as the myth that you can't eat soy without losing testosterone levels, which has been proven false.

I have wondered if I should get my levels tested, but I don't have any specific reason to. I still have energy, sex drive, and I don't have trouble putting on muscle when working out. This year I have probably put on 5-10 lbs of muscle which is a decent amount considering strength training is only one of a few different workouts I do.

MN has been pretty good about tracking Covid data and posting it regularly. Every Monday they have been posting breakthrough cases for vaccinated people. From last Monday to this Monday they have posted just over 6000 breakthrough cases. They also post daily positive numbers. There is a bit of lag in the daily numbers so I had to estimate from pattern of the last few weeks, but roughly 4 or 5 in 10 new cases in the last week have been fully vaccinated people. A few weeks ago the local radio guys said their math was 2 or 3 in 10. IMO, the data seems to show the vaccines losing effectiveness after 4-6 months.

My nephew was the first person I know who ground up deer heart and liver and used it as a pizza topping.
He called it 'Testosteroni Pizza'!

Sounds gross, but it was actually pretty good...if you're not, well...a puzzy!!   :harhar:  :harhar:  :harhar:

Dang, I hope the kids are OK.  What kind of F-ing morons do they have giving those jabs at that Walgreens.

Agreed.
Sounds to me like Walgreens stepped into a major lawsuit, especially if the kids are showing evidence of heart problems.
This is no bueno.

The idiot who actually gave the COVID vax to a 4 and 5 year old needs to be fired immediately.
We know they gave the kids the COVID vax on purpose because they filled out the CDC cards.

I was also wondering if the parents had been previously vaccinated for COVID, but the news story didn't mention that.
I could imagine getting another jab of the full vax after already being fully vaxxed may cause health problems for the parents as well.

I'm sure this is one of those cases that gets settled quickly and quietly with lots of zeros on the check, and NDA's signed by the parents.
Unfortunately there is no amount of money that could even begin to compensate for a 4 or 5 year old child who has to live the rest of their life with damage to their heart because of someone else's stupidity.
