He died of Covid complications over the weekend.
He had both vaccinations and the booster
NPR spent more time disparaging his family for saying Covid killed him
than they did talking about his life.
They reminded us the only .02% of fully vaccinated people die of covid
and implied that his family didn't know what they were talking about.

So far. The more time that goes by, the more "breakthrough" cases there are and the more hospitalizations/deaths of vaccinated people. Last week almost 40% of new cases in MN were in fully vaccinated people.

As for Powell dying, he was 84, he could have just as easily died from complications from a flu or an injury from a fall.

These sure are a lot of deaths in the 80+ range, compared to all the other categories, I sometimes wonder if vaccination has any effect at all?

Here in America Almost 90% of people over the age of 65 are on at least one prescription drug. 40% are on 5 or more prescriptions. Most of these are for heart, cholesterol, blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes. These prescriptions drug don't reverse the underlying illness, they just slow down death. It puts those people at higher risk of complications/death from many things, including Covid.

wonder if the result would have been different if he received CNN's "horse de-wormer"

I'm willing to be that number is much, much higher and they're feeding us bullshit as usual.

Did you watch Joe Rogan interview their Dr?  He was asked directly (twice at least) if he thinks it's a problem that his network lies.... he of course deflected every time.

Sure did. The weasel kept trying to get out of the corner and THEE MMA fighter kept throwing him back in, against the ropes.
 Pretty epic.
The (the not so good) Doctor went back on CNN to perpetrate the lie some more.

Yeah that was an epic (verbal) beatdown.
The CNN weasel kept trying to dodge, but Joe kept pressing.
He finally admitted CNN shouldn't have said it, but when Joe asked him why he didn't question the statement, he didn't answer.

As for General Powell, he was a good man and a patriotic American.
And yeah, anyone 80+ years old, vaxxed or not, is in more danger of dying from COVID than the average person.
Just the fact that people are making an issue out of whether he died from COVID or not, or was vaxxed or not is sad.

His life, his military career, and his political career should be the focus either way.
I didn't always agree with his political views, but I respected his accomplishments.

I was disappointed when Powell, a life long Republican endorsed Obama for president.
The hacks on NPR said
" Of course, Powell, a black man is going to endorse Obama, another black man for president"

To me that is about as racist a a statement as you could make.
You should endorse someone for their record, beliefs and what they stand for, not the color of their skin

In a major car accident AND have COVID? Yer dyin' OF COVID. Out hunting with Dick Cheney and there's an ND and you test positive for COVID and pass away? Yep. Yer dyin' OF COVID. Been in poor health for the better part of the last 5 years and any day could be your last, and you test positive for COVID WITHOUT symptoms? Yep. Chalking that up to dying FROM COVID.

What a steaming pile of Bovine Excrement this whole shit show is.

We should be celebrating his Service to this nation. I didn't always like him or agree with him, and his last foray into the political arena I think he lost his way... that being said, he was a good man and I'm appreciative for the candor in which he spoke to Shrub regarding Afghanistan and Iraq.

Wow, Trump didn't hold back on his feelings about Powell. I fully agree with Trump. Powell was a full blown RINO. However not good timing for Trump to make that statement.

Trump probably heard all of the crap talking Powell did in those emails.   Trump doesn't take personal criticism well. Ironic for a guy who shit talks anyone who doesn't kiss his butt.
