Yeah the whole Trump as Speaker of the House thing is far-fetched, and a bit whacko if you ask me.

A more realistic scenario is that the Republicans win the House and Senate in the mid-term, then just keep Biden and / or Harris in check until 2024, when Trump runs again and wins.  :yes:

I wish we could get all of those things and also get a president that didn't chase after every barking dog. I don't know, maybe you just can't get one without the other.

Yesterday driving to work I tuned into NPR.
Two women were talking about the war in Ukraine.
I was expecting the usual NPR monnbattery, but
the woman getting interviewed was making perfect sense.
She was well spoken articulate, really knew what she was talking about
and had great ideas about what to do going forward.
I was like "WTF, who are you and what have you done with NPR??"

When the interview was over I found out who she was
Condoleezza Rice.
I'd vote for her in a second, but she has absolutely refused to get involved in politics.

Trump's a phuckin idiot. Proved it on an almost daily basis. Can't keep his mouth shut. If he could have he would still be President. Didn't vote for him the first time. His policies were decent. His whole tax cut was bull excrement to us. We were some of the people who paid more. Not talking smaller refund but actual taxes paid to income earned. Not everything he did was beneficial to everyone. There is not a politician out there that gives a damn about the middle class working stiff.

That being said the second time I did vote for him. After watching the Democrats try to overturn for 4 years a legitimate election I was disgusted with them even more than usual. Granted seeing I live in Massachusetts the California if the East it was just a symbolic vote.
