I was logging in to the Mastercam site. Mastercam is telling me I need to update my account link. So I do and now I'm getting the message "A newer version of this application is already installed on this computer. If you wish to install this version, please uninstall the newer version first. Click ok to exit the wizard."

There are no instructions on how to uninstall my previous account link. Can anyone tell me how to accomplish this?

I figured it out but I'm thinking it's because of a flaw.

What I did was go to Program Files > Common Files > Mastercam > MastercamLicensing. I dragged my existing MastercamDotComLinking.exe file into the linking window.

Mastercam said I had to have a new linking file but that appears to not be true.

Remember it's not a bug, it's a feature!

Their forum login has been borked for a long time now.
Amazing how they can't seem to fix it.

They can't figure out Graphical Toolpath Editing, what makes you think they can figure this out?

Not to defend 'he who's name will not be spoken', but they can't.

Hell, TopSolid has drag and drop tool path.  Create a path then drag and drop it on another area and poof, done.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Really? I heard it had solid tools, robust Mill/Turn, and assembly capability, a long long time ago.

I'm sure it is just hype though. :)

I was present for some of the focus groups for the founding of the new Mastercam forum
One of their primary goals was to keep "he who shall not be named" and trolls like him out.
I don't know if they succeeded or not, but if he did manage to breech the gates he has been
very discrete and has never been discovered.
I don't know if he is even alive anymore. I haven't from or about him in many years

Jeff

The main issue I have is that it won't log me in if I save the forum as a bookmark or even the forum login page. I have to go to the official Mastercam page, log in, then go to the community, then the forum.
It's a major pain in the ass.

When I go to the user log-in I click the "Email or name" and a key with my login name appears. I click the key and everything is filled in.
