It's hard to argue with and nobody ever wants proof.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

lots of people are missing time here lately too , thinking the rona has people so stressed out.
They have to take a day now and again to just live instead of working all the time.
Plus the fact that Mc Donald's' is paying $18 an hour makes you wonder why your splitting tenths for $20.

Maybe he just needs a bit of a pep talk , a kind word or small appreciation award... ?
heck tell him if he has the pto just schedule the Mondays off that way you can schedule around him

I got wrote up for missing 13 days in one year a few years back ago , it was after my heart attack.
I still had plenty of PTO to cover the days off , they just didn't want me missing time un scheduled I guess.
They said I had to get a FMLA to miss more then 4 days in a year which was weird because there was no policy in place stating that at the time .
Usually I miss maybe 4 days a year calling in sick , now that the kids are all grown up.

the new company policy is more then 1 call in within three months may result in disciplinary action , this includes calling in late or leaving early also
.

Del.

The way Joe is running this country we all should call in sick.

Road construction and waiting in line at 1 PC to punch in. Place was a fucking joke.
the deal was 4 10 hr days, that soon turned into mandatory 58 hr weeks. Guess what I told them and you get a Badge.
Georgia dont like northern boys, I found that out real soon

Hey now, not all of us Georgia boys have that problem...

And sometimes the northern boys embarrass themselves trying to do that

That one seems a bit excessive, and I'm one who hasn't called in sick once in the last 20 years.

And if you're splitting tenths for $20 when Target, Wally, and McDs is paying near or over that, it's time to move on.

We have a guy that likes to pull sick call ins to add to his vacation.

Books leave for a week, and the Friday before, happens to call in sick. Then brags to one of his coworkers about not being ill.

Always uses the excuses "my daughter is sick, and I have to look after her"... even though the daughter is homeschooled, and the mother/wife is at home all day.

Needless to say, he always uses up his sick leave entitlement for the year, along with vacation days.

IMO, if that's all he's using is what's allotted to him, it's all good in my book.

I'll tell you, for too many years I left vacation and other time on the table....felt like I "HAD" to do it.....not any more.
Where I'm at, here, I get 23 days/yr...I can carry over 10 days into the new year, so that means if I don't take everything I have, I lose what's remaining over the 80 hour carry over.

It was maybe, I dunno, a dozen years or so ago, I realized I was being stoopid not taking the time off that I have coming.....most places don't pay you for the remaining, so it's use it or lose it.

I know I can be gone on any given day as I can leave on any given day. If I am not looking out for "me" who is?

We have people here with 5 weeks vacation time  that will be out by the end of February. :o I personally will save 12 days for December.

Here's Johnny!

We had an employee here that was averaging 45 sick days per year and ramped it up to 65 once I took over. These were fully paid sick days on top of his 5 weeks paid vacation, 2 weeks at Christmas and 4 personal days.

We terminated him for frustration of contract. It took about 2 years to get to that point though, tough process.

You should always plot the sick days on a chart to look for patterns...Fridays and Mondays are red flags if it is always on those days.
