IMO, with so much of the younger generations pretending things aren't as they are and many times disconnected from reality and then you look at what it is FB is doing to make its next move into and creating the "Meta" world....they are trying to point into a different direction.

As such, their rebranding was likely for the better for them as it points to a new direction for the comapny as a whole.

FB changing it's name to META is to distance itself from the opinions people have about FB. They realize that many older people see them for what they are and that also a lot of young people think of FB as for old people. They want to win back those groups.

However, make no mistake, The virtual META world is being built to further enslave the minds of weak willed people, and increase Zuck's wealth and power on a scale that most people can't comprehend. Zuck and the globalist elite want the majority of people at home, collecting UBI, and spending the majority of their time plugged into META.

 I have a few friends who actually sit around with VR head sets on, hang out in a room together to watch TV shows.

Before the VR, they were using some software and sitting in a teamspeak chat channel.

These guys (and gals) area all in their 30's. I'm probably just too old, but I can't even wrap my head around something like that.

It's becoming more common to date someone over the internet that you've never even met.  Figure that one out.
