A friend of mine has had an OKK 3 axis machine for about 20 years. Got it when it was a couple years old. Been knocking out parts daily since then. Others have came and gone out of the shop.

 That smart machine is listing 50 horsepower 40 taper. Never had a cause to need or be able to use that much power out of that small holder. Opinions?
 Seems like about the time you start utilizing that power the tool will get ripped out of the spindle.

I was thinking the same thing.

I thought at one time they were under the umbrella of Samsung & copied the old school Mori SL lathes. Then the umbrella folded and Samsung turned into SMEC and Smart was left out on their own. If they are made by OKK it should be decent....
