Musk committed the unpardonable sin of speaking the truth about the US Democratic Party.
He called them the party of hatred and division, and publicly declared that he will be voting Republican in the next election. 
For expressing his honest opinion, the left is now trying to cancel him the same way they cancel anyone who dares express an opposing opinion.

The difference is that Musk has enough money that,
a.) canceling him will probably be impossible, AND
b.) He doesn't give a wet shit about what the Dems think of him!
