I noticed some of the posts about chook development got deleted from that eWc site,
I wonder if it was because of piracy or they are trying to keep chooks a secret?
I know someone from there mentioned they were trying to compete in the space..

I thought I had read somewhere that they were really trying to move chook stuff to the CNC forum...I guess partly as a hedge against possibly supporting pirates...

That's what I was told at one point, I'm not sure if that's still true or not

The pirate argument is so disingenuous for MASTERCAM generally. If they didn't want pirates, they'd stop publishing the crack like in years gone by or how they currently make it so crack able.

No but cracked software is VERY prevalent....and what the open development does is it gives pirates an easy way to automate the software.

Cracked softwares users and the people that actually crack the license are not the same people....that said though I'm certain there is a percentage of those users who do have the ability to dabble in chooks...as such, why give them a place to get help if & when they need it?

Lol, no, but I don't want to get into a discussion on how cracks work, and it's not something I have done.
The actually workings of the sdk don't help you to make chooks, because you have to create your own helper functions, it's more of a specification like opengl than an api

I doubt that anyone pirating/cracking software gives a crap about chooks or software automation. The goal has never been to automate software. It's a release game. Who can release the hardest to crack software first.

I hope that wouldn't be IHS reason to hide Peters (or anyone elses) chooks? 

I mean,  you can find them anywhere if you know where to look?

I have no idea what they sell, I don't really like to chat with them other than maint renewal for my entry level license.

I didn't appreciate the way they lied about what the product I bought did, on such an expensive purchase...
