Well, this is outside the scope of the poll I wanted to make but since you're volunteering info I'll say this:

From what you've shared on emastercam and here it seems you've really been through some messed up stuff in your life. More than most people have. Do you think it's just been bad luck?

My views on guns are probably wildly unpopular with the 2a crowd.      I try not to get in to the discussion because I just end up pissing people off.  

I grew up around guns and was taught how to use them when I was very young.  

I know people who in my opinion, are just too irresponsible to own a firearm.  They have no respect for them or anyone around them.  

It's probably a good thing that I'm not the one deciding who's rights get infringed.

I grew up around guns also. When I was young everybody had a few guns. Like a rifle and a shotgun. People used to have gun racks in their trucks with one of each. That seems strange now doesn't it? But there were everywhere. Guns were just tools and nobody thought much about it. It was a very casual thing. We could ask a farmers permission and go hunting or shooting just about anywhere.

Fast forward to today and so many people are intimately connected with their guns. Like they're emotionally dependent upon them. Guns are a big part of who they are. It's a completely different mind set and I can't understand it.

The 2nd amendment is written in our constitution and it's not going anywhere. But I agree there are a lot of people who have guns that maybe it would be better if they didn't. I don't have any answers, just questions.
