I'm doing the UC ( ulcerative colitis ) diet. 😁

After an extended use of Prednisone I was up to 188. The heaviest I had ever been. After weening down on the Prednisone I got back down to my normal 165-170. Then got sick around Easter ended up in the hospital and was down to 150. With the help of frozen yogurt with Cool whip and P&J sandwiches I'm back to my normal weight. 🤪

Me neither. I have been wearing the same belt for about 15 years. Only ever used two of the holes in it. If that second hole gets to feeling tight, I know I need to do something.

Some times I think that it's a blessing that I can't handle dairy.  I love ice cream but a bowl of that stuff and I can't even get my cat to some around me.   :poop:  :poop:  :poop:

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I am curious about this. With the various, sometimes multiple, workouts I do in a day, most calorie calculators say I need between 2500-3000 calories a day to maintain my weight. That is a ton of calories at one time if you are eating healthy whole foods. I don't know how I could possibly eat that much in one meal. Do you track how many calories you eat?

Beginning of COVID (March 2020) I was pushing 185. With my EDC, clothes, extra magazine or two, etc... my walking around weight was a touch over 200. By September I got down to between 150-155 (or EDC at 170-175). I've been able to maintain 150-160 since.

Calories... I used to take in close to 4,000/day. Now I watch what I eat and am closer to 2,000- 2,500. I eat WAY less sugar. I don;t have dessert every night anymore. I used to eat a pile of cookies, now I may have 1 or 2. 5 scoops of ice cream used to be the norm. Now it's like 1 or 2.

Curious if anybody here is able (willing) to ride a bike to their work? I'm fortunate to live just a couple miles from the business and try to ride in as long as the weather is good (most days). I've gotta get to work somehow, and this gives me a little exercise on the way and clears my head, to boot!

An added bonus is less $$$ spent on this $6 gas in CA! Yikes!

Quote from: Newbeeee™ on June 07, 2022, 10:47 AMMy weight loss going well - over 13kg down from max when I had my factory (nearly 5 years ago now) and would comfort eat to cheer myself up  and now down to 2digits as i've kicked the 3!
Obviously talking metrico KG here....
If I loose another 4, that was my initial goal from Christmas, but would love to lose 9 more (which gets me to 14 stone).
I think my old racing weight of 80kg (12.5 stone) is long gone unless I lose a leg, BUT we're getting into ice cream season now mmmmm.....
The funny thing was, I lost a couple early on, and wifey decided the scales were rubbish (always too high for her  ) so she threw them and replaced with a new set. I checked the accuracy with 36kg of water bottles stacked up and the new are pretty good.
I hopped on them and immediately was a couple KG heavier compared to the originals that she'd just chucked
She was too but the originals were already skipped so no going back

How? Wake up - go for a ride on my bike. 25>40km.
Have dinner around 4.
No other food - perhaps an ice cream if we go out  and plenty of fluids.
But food only once a day and exercise.

I got no fucking idea what you said for upper part of post. 😂

Another hack of sorts: I've discovered that you can exploit laziness to your own advantage.... while I've got a little bit of a sweet tooth, I'm never motivated enough to leave the house to get something, so unless the missus has got something sweet in the freezer I don't even have to exercise any willpower....the laziness does the trick!

Ditto for beer/booze....you name it. If it's out of sight or otherwise not immediately available, it effectively doesn't exist! LOL

YMMV as they say....

I would if I lived close enough. Or at least I would when the weather permitted. Seattle isn't nice to bike riders.

I live 27 miles from work and there is no good way to get there on a bike.

Yeah, 27 miles is a bit of a haul! And I've never really liked getting rained on, either!

I could ride a bike to work, or walk. I only live a mile from work. I should ride a bike to work, or walk. I have thought about it many times. It's just so convenient to hop in the truck or my scooter and ride that to work. I have a Yamaha Zuma 50 that gets about 100 MPG that I ride on nice days. Rode it in today. Saves a lot of money on gas.
