Just saw this in an e-mail today. The main thing I use it for is getting models & tool dimensions. Kennametal has a great speed/feed page for their drills. Never once have I purchased something....seems like their prices aren't very competitive compared to my conventional distributors.

Since Kennametal switched from to their NOVO standalone app to the web app performance has downgraded, IMO. Not sure if at Kennametal will start charging for NOVO....

I got to think that them starting to charge for "premium" features is going to dramatically shrink their user base.

I started to use it for a while, but I already have habits that just kept me from taking advantage of it. If they're going to start charging that would pretty much seal the deal for me not using it at all.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Machining Cloud and Coroplus. I played around with both, off and on, for a few months.

They both seemed to work ok, but to be honest, my workflow in assembling tools etc worked well enough (import, create CAD assembling, assign tool functions), in both CAM and Verification, that I just couldnt see a big enough benefit.

Like Neurosis, with there being a charge, that seals the deal for me too.

It's a great concept but the business plan isn't well thought out.
Advertising based?
User subscription?
Manufacturer sponsored?

About the only thing that would be workable is an advertising based formula. Maybe payment for top search results?

As soon as I see something is cloud based, I immediately refuse to use it.
