An Act of God??

3 Day weekend.

Watching the local news this A.M. and a storm front is heading our way. Looked Nasty.
Pulled in and told the guys to get ready.
First wave came through 60 to 75 mph straight line winds and lots of lighting.
7:41 power is out.

stood around for an hour and a half thumbs up our asses in the dark.

Rick rode his bike in and says "if there is a break I'm outta here."

I wait a few more and the rest of the guys are sitting.

I say "I'mma go home 2 miles and see if I have power."

Resta the guys are razzing me . Dick!! you jus wanna leave!!

I pull out. go about 4 blocks and turn around.
pull back up in front of the doors at work and yelled at Steve "Get in the God damn Car"

Steve jumps in.

Went one block. Large tree on the house and Cars.
went two blocks ,Popo has it blocked trees all over the powerlines apartment complex out of power people walking the streets.

Turned around and 1 block over Trees crossing the whole streets yellow tape up.

third block a HUGE tree 3 ft round branch on the lines, Both telephone poles snapped and tops on the ground.

18,000 with out power at high point.

took Steve back with lots of pics.

Waved and smiled and said "Happy Weekend!!"

I think God wanted me to have a 3 Day weekend.

1:24pm still no power at work.

That same storm hit Missouri in the early morning hours. Geez Loueeze! I've got limbs down all over. We were without power for 5 hours at home. no tornado, but the straight line winds were incredible. I've got a mess to clean up when I get home
