IMO, Trump is a fighter. The more the Dems keep attacking him, the more likely he will run again. They just can't let it go so neither will he.

Unfortunately, if he runs again it's really all about him...I don't believe his ego will let im walk away without trying...

Is that good, is it bad?  I don't know at this point....

I for one would like a realistic option. Is there one though? NOt one that I can see at this point and once the calendar rolls into 2023 we'll start seeing those who are going to throw their hats in the ring.

After 4 years of Trump bashing and severe cases for TDS, then 4 years of this current walking disaster, I Just don't know how 4 more years of TDS will go for this country....but I don't know what's out there in full yet either.

What I think I do know, we're in a quite the pickle and some adult leadership is desperately going to be needed.

I appreciate his service, but I'm ready for some new blood.

If Trump runs, the Dem's will burn it all down before they let him win,
or course I expect they will do that for any Republican who looks like a potential winner.

How soon before Landlocked Aviation becomes under investigation?
Seems like anyone the libtards don't like they quickly are under investigation of some kind.

One thing for me that never gets old about Trump... his ability to get leftists to lose their shit almost daily is just epic!

Do I wish our politicians would actually do something for the good of the American people? Sure. Who doesn't? That being said, ANYTHING "bi-partisan" these days is a COMPLETE infringement on our Constitutional rights - and not just one particular right either. So, there's no way I want those jackwagons working together on anything. So while I hate the tragic waste of money all these investigations and nonsense cost, the "cost" of bi-partisanship is FAR higher IMHO.

I think Ron DeSantis would be a good nominee for the Republicans in 2024.

His leadership was evident in Florida during the pandemic, even though the MSM did their best to bash him.

He has already been signaling that he doesn't want or need Trump's endorsement, so I think his odds improve quite a bit if he is not perceived as a 'Trump Guy'.

I agree that DeSantis would be a good candidate, but not in 2024. He is young and can easily wait until 2028 or even 2032. IMO, one of Trumps biggest faults is that he will turn on anyone that is not with him. If Trump runs in 2024 and DeSantis runs against him in the primaries, it could do more harm to DeSantis than good. I also think he should hold off on being Trumps running mate if offered. He would be best to stay FL gov until 2028 and then run. At Trumps age there will be a lot of concern about who his running mate is. At first thought it is easy to think DeSantis, but Trumps ego will not let him select a strong leader like DeSantis. IMO, he would need to select a perceived "assertive" woman to balance his dickishness.

If you believe the polls, which nobody seems to unless the polls favor their opinion/view at the time, Trump is not polling well right now with younger and more educated Republican voters. I'm sure you've read about it as it's been plastered all over the news this week. Something like 50% of those demographics want to see someone else run for Pres in 2024?

As polls can sometimes be skewed...the larger question is, "Are they Likely Voters"

When it comes to polls, the details really tell how accurate a poll may or may not be...

That is interesting because I have not seen any of those polls. I have seen polls that show if the election was now and between Trump and Biden, Trump wins by almost 10 points, and a few of these polls were from very traditionally left leaning pollsters. I personally would rather see someone else besides Trump. However I don't know that I have seen anyone that I feel could take on the full force of the Dem/mainstream media disinformation machine. DeSantis is tough, but he has never been the full attention of the left. If Trump goes away and they wholly focus on DeSantis, I don't know how he will do.

I probably should have mentioned that the poll question was framed as 'if the primaries were held today' so more of a 'would you rather see someone else win the primary'. That doesn't mean that they wouldn't vote for Trump over Biden.  I didn't read far enough in to the poll to know what questions were asked.

The NY Post has a short article on it.

Half of GOP voters want someone other than Trump in 2024: poll
