the weatherman says "we have a weak cool front coming through which should bring our temps back down to the century mark".

I heard this the other day. I guess the cool front must have come through because right now it's only 99F. Yesterday the high was supposed to be 107. When I came out to my car it said 109. It said 110 when I got home. I saw a sign that said 114.
This sucks.

Just be thankful it's not the 1930s dust bowl. Suck it up, buttercup. :cheer:

It got up to the mid 30s when I was in Montreal. That was hot enough.

Yeah, I bitch about it but think of a settler living in a sod house with no trees and the sun blazing down.

The poor sod.

It's been in the low 90s all week here. And bath night isn't until Saturday!

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

It is days and weeks like this that makes me glad we have a swimming pool.

It's sometimes a PITA doing the maintenance, and the price of chlorine is at an all-time high this year, but it's nice to come home from work on a 90F+ day like it has been all this week and take a nice refreshing dip.

I get to work in a shop with no AC. When I get home I take a cool shower and turn on the AC in the bedroom so we can sleep good.

I did grow up with an above ground pool. Your absolutely right that it's weather like this that makes the extra work and expense worth it. Remember floating in the pool at 10:00-11:00 at night when it was like this.

I'm not complaining, but our shop AC is so cold I often wear a sweatshirt in the summer out in the shop. Especially in the morning. In the bay where our gym is one of the AC units went out so it is a bit hot in there. Two new replacement units arrived this week and will be installed next week.

I was in a sweat shop this week. Not much ventilation and no AC in SoCal. Every inch of floorspace has a cnc in it. When you leave and your clothes stink, having AC and bay doors closed, doesn't sound like it would be much of a quality of life improvement.

When I left Cleveland Monday morning it was 70 and raining. When I got to Denver it was 99 and just got worse from there.
