I do have a pair at home that is more for close up and computer monitor distance. I can wear those just fine.

Probably just need to have a few drinks to take the edge off. Then you will feel normal.

I changed my contact prescription to one for distance and one for reading. It works pretty well for most things but It messes with depth perception so I still have to wear cheaters to tie something on the fishing pole.
