an LLC out of Wyoming or Montana are easy enough to execute. Such an intelectual property should be a safe bet.
Rules are made to be broken. I've never applied for a city business license and when the county assessor came knocking he was sent packing very empty handed and hasn't been seen since.
I'm considering forming such an LLC...and having that own my vehicles, while I'm at it.

Pretty sure g and I have been warning y'all for YEARS about the shitbaggery Kommieforniastan will be jamming down your throats. We always heard the same thing too "that'll never happen here". Well... here comes some of that "it'll never happen here" and I hope y'all like it, and like it good and hard because that's how you're gonna get it. And it'll probably be dry too.

We told you guys you better keep your shit in check... and you didn't.

Oh... here's another litter morsel for you to choke down... consider this a "what IS coming" message. Our state (People's Republik of Kommieforniastan) unfunded pension liability will no doubt eclipse $1,000,000,000,000 this year  (yeah, that is one TRILLION dollars)... and you fuckers ARE going to bail us out when it REALLY hits the fan. Pass that along to your neighbors.

Brought to you by the party of Smit. You're welcome.

California wrote AB5 that to have a business in California you must have 50% of the people that own the corporation living in the State. We were registered in the State of Montana before AB5 came about. We had to register in the State of California to keep doing what I do. I have done that and paid the $800 a year fee to have a corporation registered in the state of California even though the company is losing money on paper. I have a CPA doing our monthly Payroll for me and my wife for $150 a month they also do our corporate taxes for $800 a year. I pay the State and Federal as a W-2 for us both and then pay for Health Insurance out of the company. I also carry Liability and Workman Compensation for $120 a month. Then I QuickBooks for Accounting that is $85 a month. Add Vericut and Mastercam Maintenance on top of that and you start to get a little idea what trying to be what was a simple 1099 is all about now with Ab5 in place.

You mean Smit, the guy that voted Republican in the Kansas primary, for which you have to be registered as a Republican?  :D

You mean the guy always sticking up for Democrats and Democrat causes? The one that probably switched party registration so he could vote for a Republican? Yeah. Definitely that guy. :D

It is rare that the Federal Government gets involved with a business issue and doesn't mess things up completely. States also mess up things like that, but at least when it's the state level, you can move to a different state that suits you.

Democrats just never seem to learn that when they think they are closing a loop hole or raising taxes on businesses, they are almost always hurting the employees of the company using the loophole or the consumers of the company, most of the time it's both.

Watching politics on both sides is like watching Fred and Barney scheming to get rich. That is, if Fred and Barney were drunk and on crack after suffering serious head injuries.

Well I'm sure you're better informed than me since you were doing the Montana thing already.
By the way, save the money on QuickBooks and just use GNU money. Works on windows and Linux. It's all I need.

My CPA can access everything using Quickbooks why I use it. Yes the whole restructuring that was needed when AB5 came about sucked, but it is it what it is. No to long after was was slapped with a cease and desist order to quit using part of the name I have had since 2007. I have had a Website that long so my lawyer told them to go pound sand.

I searched "GNU money" and all I got were snowboards.  Did you mean GNUCash?

haha. Yeah that one!
Not making my case very well!!
it'll import quickbooks format. I like how it'll just append the record every year so you can have a continuous ledger of your bank account, if you so choose. I make a new folder every year and copy last year's data to new folder structure for redundancy's sake.
I just output the customized report and email to CPA inHTML format...lol i think they hate that.
