Since when does the Secret Service along with the ATF swoop in and raid a bullshit pawn shop?

I understand the AFT and FBI / Sheriff's but I was unaware the SS was involved in this stuff.

QuoteAn FBI spokesman told News 19 that the U.S. Secret Service and the federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms were the agencies on the scene. An ATF spokesperson told News 19 that the Secret Service was leading the investigation and called in ATF agents after several guns were found on the property.

Well, the ATF would be involved as "most" Pawn Shops have FFL's..so the firearms would be dealt with by them but in this case the owner can't have an FFL but apparently firearms were still on the property....I note in the story the Secret Service was the lead department, that intimates that there was something of a "financial" investigation going on...wire fraud, counterfeiting, and other such crimes are the purview of the Secret Service...lest we forget, that they are an arm of the IRS

Del.

Counterfeit money maybe. SS handle's that.

Secret service is under the dept of Treasury, right?

Not sure about that, however, their primary duty is counterfeit investigations.

Yeah, that makes sense.  I wasn't thinking about counterfeiting money or something like that.
