When was the last time a one page bill was introduced? The 911 episode had 2000+ pages drawn up in two weeks if you would believe Congress.

The problem is that the Dem's have become the pedophilia party
Gay, Bi, Trans, drag queens in class with 5 year olds...it's utter madness
The dems think it's education, the republicans think it's grooming.
That is a very bright line and leaves little room for compromise.

If you have young kids it is a parental obligation to do this.
You need to see the people who are teaching your children and hear them in their own words
Then you need to get your kids the hell out of the public school system

I'm glad that I don't have any children. Especially any that are going through school right now.  I would also hate to be a student right now.

Having said that, my girlfriend is a teacher in Seattle. She came from the East side of the State where it is a lot more Red. Even coming from that area, she doesn't see a fraction of the stuff being taught in school that she hears is being taught from some people. She say's that you can definitely tell the difference in the schools over there compared to here, they do push things like proper pronouns (ugh), but she wonders if minority of activists teachers are being used to paint entire school systems with a broad brush?  Maybe she got lucky with the school she ended up in or they're just doing a really good job of hiding it from her?

Maybe after a few years of teaching in Seattle it will become more apparent to her.

I have heard about the libs of tik tok. I'll have to check that out.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Gridlock. It's a feature, NOT  a bug. Seriously.

Seriously. Look how messed up thigs are. If HALF the garbage they propose that fails for whatever resson were to pass/be enacted... we'd be in some real trouble.

I prefer gridlock because bi-partisan anything means we're losing liberty and freedom. Every. Single. Time.

I'll put this Simply for you.

Pelosi Said...."We have to pass it to see what's in it"

Now if you can't figure this one out.

I can't help you. :)

They spend Multi Millions investigating everything.

Except the Bills put in front of them.

At Best there should be an Automatic delay on new Bills of 6 months for passage.

It's only time not Money.

Then they can't claim they didn't have time to read it.

Quote from: RobertELee on June 21, 2022, 02:31 PMRemember when the Dims had the "American Rescue Plan" that Biden pushed and was so packed full of pork it was unreadable?

the Senate did exactly the same thing Sunday.. called it an anti inflation bill, yet packed it so full of partisan pork
green energy boondoggles, funding for 40K new IRS auditors and all sorts of socialist spending .... $400 billion more imaginary  dollars created out of thin air... the exact opposite of what an anti inflation bill should be.

Quote from: neurosis on June 22, 2022, 04:29 AMSo basically, any time Republicans *or* Democrats put a bill on the table, the other side should automatically reject it because of what *might* end up in the bill?  And people wonder why our government is so broken.
It's a feature, not a bug.

Listen... when something is bi-partisan it's time for BOHICA. Seriously. THe ONLY time they get together is to screw US.

Gridlock will save us. We should encourage more of it.

Average salary for that class of government employee... about $61,000 per year. Add benefits and whatnot the number comes closer to $100k per employee... real cost.

$8.7 BILLION in spending in the war against the American People and THE money THEY earned.

Democrats trook out language the Republicans put in to not audit people making under $400,000 per year.

At least Republicans give us dinner, a movie and a kiss before they screw us.

Democrats take us down a dark alley behind a dumpster at gunpoint where they proceed to screw us.

No dinners. No dumpsters. They just both screw us in the light of day because there are to many
stupid people who will vote for them no matter what.

I honestly don't know every detail of the bill yet. Reading legislative bills is tedious and not always fun. They are often intentionally vague and sometimes shalls and mays get me twisted around. I do plan on doing a deep dive on it though soon. It's 730 pages of legalese that will numb your mind.

I do read a number of bills every year because I don't trust the Lame Stream Media to tell the truth and I trust the government to tell the truth even less.
