Watching Homeland on Hulu. It's entertaining. The writing is pretty solid. There are enough plot twists to keep things interesting. We'r eon Season 4 of 8.

One of the few series I know of that comes to a satisfying conclusion.

Too many have been great all the way through, then fizzled at the end, :cough: Game of Thrones :cough:, but Homeland isn't one of those, IMO, of course.

I liked season 7 and the ending. Lot of action and taking into account the family history of the Targaryns, Daenarys going insane is plausible.

(House of Dragons was good. Thumbs up)

Apparently HBO Max has a 40% off sale going on right now if you get a year subscription.  $6 a month if you don't mind the ads and $9 a month ad free.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I really didn't think it possible but House of Dragon made the the ending of GOT even worse than it was already.

I just saw Episode 2 and I think it's pretty good.
Even though it is a GoT prequel, it has much of the same feel when it comes to the power dynamics and shifting alliances.

That was really the backbone of GoT, and it was one of the best tv series ever IMO, UNTIL...
The producers lost their frikin' minds during the last season and thought they would try their hand at writing.  :wallbash:

I think GRRM has more direct creative control over HoD, so hopefully the writers will only write and the producers will only produce.

True, HoD is NOT GoT, and it never will be.
But at the same time I think they can make it interesting enough.

Nope, it's not but it really wasn't meant to be...it was really telling a different story from an earlier time..

I'll 100% watch this series, Epi 2 when I get home tonight  :)

I just thought the closing minutes of Epi 1, with it's "Dream" reveal realy painted the mess up GOT ended on...Last 2 1/2 seasons really

Del.

Starting to watch " The Chosen " tonight on Prime.  I read where it's highly rated.

Anyone see the first episode of the new 'Lord of the Rings' series yet?

I think it premiered this weekend on Prime but me and the Mrs. were camping.
I think I will look for it tonight...

Seen the first two episodes, not really that impressed so far. The acting seems subpar and they really jump around from character to character. I will watch more, hopefully it gets better.

I starting watching "The Patient" on Hulu. Steve Carell plays a psychotherapist and a patient of his is not what he expected. Cant say anymore than that. The first two episodes have me hooked. I like it!

Smit

Black mirror on Netflix. It's billed as a modern day Twilight zone. It's pretty good and sometimes pretty messed up. Season 2 episode 1 was pretty intense.
