Nope. Joe Biden and the Democrats set interest rates.

Unless things are going good then it's the Repugs.

I would think that home sales would slow way down and home prices would drop too. Glad my mortgage is 2.99.

Quote from: CNCAppsJames on September 27, 2022, 06:08 PMWhat a shitbird Biden is. ALL he had to do was nothing. Just sit there and shit his pants and things would be WAY better. But no, Dementia In-Chief had to put is hands on it and crash the thing. What a fucking idiot.

Well he is just the puppet in Chief not the one pulling the strings. We need to track down the puppet masters and then you will see how this is al been part of their plan.

Now I am of the opinion that the Fed was asleep at the switch and failed to act months before it did. Biden, while not directly responsible failed as well. I think that the supply side issues and the associated inflation caught most people by surprise, regardless of political affiliation.

this is true... but the inflation was caused by the Dem's creation of trillions of virtual dollars
They aren't borrowing the money they are spending,
They are just writing checks and the banks cash them because they are Federal checks

No they were too busy figuring out what gender they are and what pronoun suits them best.

no... everything they did was geared towards the midterms
at first they denied there was inflation, then they say it temporary
then they said it was minor.  meanwhile the Dems kept writing trillions of dollars worth of rubber checks
now they realize they have a problems and they are throwing spitballs at a raging fire
Once the midterms are over the the MAGA Republicans own the house and (hopefully) the Senate the Fed
will get serious about it and blame all the pain on Trump.
It's pretty clear, that EVERY branch of the Federal government is both corrupt and partisan

I have to disagree. It makes no sense to embark on a policy that increases inflation. That is not a recipe for re-election. Unless it was Republicans in the Fed trying to shoot Biden's administration in the foot. More likely that it was incompetence.

the progressive left is in control at the moment... and they know they are going to lose the House
so they rammed everything they could through while they could.

Jerome Powell was Donald's choice, Biden re-nominated him when elected.

I have taken a very much wait & see atitude....I am not so convinced the Dems lose either house, though they may lose a few seats, but not enough to flip the House...

Repulicans has misread the abortion tea leaves GREATLY!

or I could be wrong, time will tell but I take nothing for granted at this point

Yeah I mostly agree that the abortion issue will hurt republicans. I still think most will vote their pocketbooks and republicans take house. In my opinion it is better to hold the House above the Senate.

one of Trump's greatest failures was that he grossly underestimated the corruption and partisanship
of the Federal government.

and don't forget... Trump may have picked Powell, but he had to be approved by a Dem Senate.

This isn't just all on the D's side. Both sides are holding the bag on this one. The Trump administration was handing out stimulus checks like candy. More than once. To people like myself who's paycheck was never once affected by the scamdemic. Think the $2.2 trillion "CARES" act Trump signed. Then Biden with his "American Rescue Plan", worth a couple of more Trillion. Flooding the economy with money isn't all the D's fault, not by a long shot.

The hardcore Trumpers though just don't want to hear those facts...yes, that contributed as well and cannot be denied
