I'll be glad when this is over.

Wichita is about 50 miles from the Oklahoma border so we get lame ass political ads from Kansas and Oklahoma. Online we even get them from Texas. I can't imagine back East where you have so many states in a small area.

We need to pass some laws that don't allow any campaigning til two or three months before an election.

Sure fire way for me not to vote for someone is when I receive a campaign text.  Those dipshits go directly to the fuck off folder.

I don't watch local TV so I don't get the TV adds
but I do get the texts and 100 to 150 emails a day
I'll be glad when it's over.
Of course it won't be over on 11/8
PA has already said it will take days if not weeks to count the votes
so we'll be getting a couple of months worth of pleas for $$$ to pay for legal
challenges, rand recounts and such
Georgia will probably take a 12/8/22 run off to decide a winner
Sadly, it's no longer election day, it's election season

I wish it were only local tv. I don't watch much of that either but I am still seem to be inundated.

We have like 2 or 3 shows that we will actually turn the TV on for, and thats streaming on Hulu or Paramount. Otherwise it's off. Haven't seen a political ad in a couple years.

More laws is not the answer. People need to start actually looking into who they're voting for, not just who's the least scary of the choices. Then the ads should start going away when the campaigns start to realize they aren't working. But hell, this is America, land of the lazy and dumb.

75% of voters in my state are complete and TOTAL morons. They vote for bonds we cannot afford. They vote for candidates that do not respect our hard earned tax dollars. They continue to vote for shitbirds like Reggie Sawyer-Jones who said, on the record, and I quote "..we're California, we do what we want." when speaking of enacting KNOWN unconstitutional Legislation. The fuckery the voters in this state enable WILL hurt the rest of the nation when the chickens finally come home to roost.

Here is what I get to vote for in my area. Note that almost all of the candidates are running uncontested. Those are the previously mentioned dipshits that I get text's from to vote for them. I usually write my name in for whatever position.

The thing I really hate about the political flyers and shit I get in the mail that are flat out lies and disinformation.

That is what our political parties have turned into.

I get tired of being treated like I'm stupid. Both parties do it but one seems to be worse than the other least for governor.

We watch a lot of Youtube and streaming services that have commercials. There is this one Dem AD that keeps playing over and over. I can't stand the MN republican party, but this Dem add over and over is getting so annoying that I almost want to give money to the MN R's so they can win this election.
