We just had our first brush with winter weather. A local newspaper reporter is a transplant from California. He wrote in a column that Kansas has four seasons. Ice rut season, tornado season, hotter than hell season, and October.
I'd say that's a fairly accurate assessment.  ;D

Here in Missouri it's Rabbit season, too cold but fish anyway season, fish season, deer season, repeat.

Here in Minnesota we have 2 seasons, Road Construction and Winter.

I remember that scene from Fargo at the end. To me it almost looked like a white out; as she is driving and chastising her prisoner she says "and it's a beautiful day".

My son in law just got stationed in Minot after spending 8 years in Alaska. The grandsons said they were glad they moved somewhere cold. Warm weather makes them melt.  ;)

Same in Michigan.
I-75 is ALWAYS under construction.

Don't knock construction season. Those are "shovel ready" jobs boys! All that taxpayer money hard at work creating jobs and saving the economy.

I have, but only from Lapeer to Flint and back.

One of the best concert venues I've ever been to.
I've seen UFO, Saxon, Great White, Skid Row, Zakk Sabbath, John5, Sponge etc...

A guy I used to work with plays drums for Chrome Mollie. They're playing there (kind of a reunion gig since they don't play anymore) this Friday.
