"Hunter Biden's business dealings have long been the focus of Republican criticism, but the new investigation will examine whether President Biden was involved in his son's businesses and whether he may have exploited his position as vice president and then president."

No way.. he turned 40 years of .gov paychecks into a $45 million fortune because he's a smart investor

This will be interesting to see where this goes. It will be a huge nothing burger of meaningless political theater for the R's. They will use it to stir up their base. They don't have enough support to do anything meaningful should they find real corruption and indictable acts.

I am curious as to how the Dems will respond. The party and media don't want Biden to run again. If Kamala were anyone else remotely electable and liked, they would throw Biden under the bus asap so they could start to posture for 2024. However that is their real problem, how do they get rid of Kamala while still pushing the narrative that the Biden admin is doing such a great job. For sure it will take their best wordsmiths doing the greatest mental gymnastics to spin them dumping Kamala.

Financial institutions are required by law to file reports of suspicious activity that meets certain criteria. I heard a US senator on the radio yesterday saying that there are over 150 reports filed on the Bidens transactions and that previous to the Biden admin anyone could file a FOIA to review the SEC reports, but when Biden got in he changed the rules to hide those reports from the public.

BY and large, beyond some caterwauling and posturing, the GOP "leadership" will say "we need to move forward and get this behind us"  or something of the sort...

Oh sure, there will be those that use it to whip a certain segment into a frenzy but it will come to nothing as it always does....

Without ethical and nonpartisan Federal law enforcement agencies (I'm looking at you  FBI/DOJ)
these investigations are all smoke and noise with zero bite.

It's comical that all of these dumbsmits dislike Trump because he said something mean 40 years ago,but refuse to look back and acknowledge all of PedoJoe's lies for the last 50 years.
He's one of the most corrupt politicians this country has ever seen.

According to liberals

[Being a big meanie] > [lies, corruption, theft and pedophilia]

Because meanies make them cry.

Speaking of corrupt FBI/DOJ, if you look hard you might find a Washington Post article where they acknowledge
that the Stasi storm trooper raid at Trump's house found zero, zip, nada evidence of illegal secret documents
or wrong doing.
That raid was nothing more than a partisan hit on Trump leading into the midterms.
It was blatant election interference.

We all knew it was nothing the moment it happened.
But they have this incessant need to constantly sling mud at him on a daily basis to make sure the dumbsmits still dislike him.
Like I've said before, the moment there is no "threat" of him running for office they will stop talking about him,but until then....
It's been a daily thing since he announced he was running back in 2016 and it hasn't stopped since.

Actually it says there was nothing nefarious in why he kept documents. Nothing to help his businesses or anything like that. The investigation is still ongoing.

Funny thing is, every president leavong office has done it. They keep documents they believe should be put into their presidential library. Obummer did it, Bush 1 and 2 did it, Clinton did it etc... nothing nefarious but just a good ol fashion lynch mob when "Orangeman Bad" does it.

Of course it is
They will leave it open forever as something they can use whenever they need a club to bash Trump with.
