Ahoy!

I must admit I had my reservations about coming over and helping a mate set up his business.  Things I have given up:
  • Cushy jobs as GM of pretty high tech companies
  • The salary to match
  • Workshops full of fancy multiaxis machines
  • The salary to match
  • Talented engineering staff to make things happen for me
  • A sub-tropical climate
  • My little black book  ;D
  • Did I mention the salary?

I now have a freezing cold shed in a cow paddock with a pair of Tormachs, an almost empty bank account, and no junior staff to gofer for me.

Guess what?  I'm happier than a pig in shit!  Sometimes a simple life is a better one.

Cheers

Bruce

Glad you are having fun,
Should you need to supplement your fun life with some cash
I have no doubt you could replicate your old career in Texas
Talent is in short supply

Welcome to America! I see you're making good use of that white privilege.  :fun:

I'll be home for a bit in february to give it some love.  Just about the time I'll be used to driving on the wrong side of the road lol
