I didn't think you could buy those any more.

They sure work good as hell!

It's currently -5 here with a steady 20mph wind. It looks like we got about 3" of snow.

Its not bad here, shorts weather really. Sunny, 9 deg F, a little breezy. They were predicting -30 wind chills, but its nothing like that.

My boss's son is stuck in Cheyenne, Wyoming
He says the temperature was -10°F at dawn this AM and the highway patrol
closed the Interstate. He's lucky he found a motel room

I-80 across Wyoming is notorious for drifting snow. It does get closed very often. Fortunately the closures are usually short lived.

That is one place I wouldn't want to get stranded. There is nothing in the middle of Wyoming. Weeds and wind in the summer....and this time of year, snow & wind.

Right now it is -10 with a -25 windchill. I ran to the store to grab a few things. There was a small drift across the driveway so I grabbed a shovel thinking I could do it quickly without getting my full face mask. In the three minutes clearing the drift my face actually started to get past that tingly frozen point to starting to go full numb. I know enough to not stay out past that. Tonight they are calling for -15 with a -48 windchill.

You asked for it. ;D

I don't mind the below zero temps but that 50mph wind is brutal.

We've also got a friend on their small towns fire department that is battling a large building fire right now. They cut power to half the city. If they were closer I'd run and try to help out at least bring coffee and such to the guys, but an 1.5 hour drive is not in the cards tonight.
