I think to realistically update Ike's concern we need to look at the inseparable actions of the deep state, media, and the Dem party. In the article, Republicans were allowed to win as long as they play nice with the CIA and MIC. This is no longer the case. The Deep states power lust and desired control has grown beyond what most republican voters and R politicians will stand for. Today there is no separation of the Deep state from Big tech, media, and dem party. That's where I have to laugh at the uni-party establishment Republicans that think they will be allowed to win office if they play nice. With mail-in-fraud voting those days are over.

FACT-O-RAMA!  Once upon a time, anyone using the phrase "military-industrial complex" was considered a tinfoil hat nutjob. Today, we know that manufacturing companies — and those who own stock in them — have made trillions of dollars in military government contracts in the past 60 years.
