Quote from: pmartin on January 30, 2023, 07:34 AMWow! You run the risk of being labeled a Smithead for defending Paul Pelosi. Good for you.

LOL...thanks.
I call them like I see them.

I did add the discalimer that I can't stand Nancy, so I  have that goin' for me. :harhar:

So  based on the break in video and interview tapes, He says he was there to make Nancy answer for her actions and hold her accountable for her corruption. Is time to start calling DePape a hero and a true patriot? Just sayin.....

Quote from: Newbeeeeâ„¢ on January 30, 2023, 07:38 AMDo we yet know how the door got opened?

I'm guessing Mr. Pelosi may have unlocked it after he made the 911 call, and the cops just simply tried the doorknob to see if they could get in the easy way.

LOL
Crazy bastids usually don't recognize their own insanity, so in his own mind, I'm sure his whole plan made perfect sense.

Holding Nancy (and ALL politicians) accountable is a good idea in principle, but his chosen method of execution to accomplish that goal was just about the worst possible idea he may have ever had.

No doubt DePape will take an insanity plea, and he will likely end up in a mental health facility for a loooooong time.

Did we watch the same video? I can't pull it up and re-watch it here at work to get the exact timing, but the officer who knocked on the door was barely looking at the door when it opened, according to where his body camera was pointing. The other officer was effing around on his phone.

No bad meat. I'm just trying to present a different perspective that fosters some discussion. A lot of R internet tough guys love to quote Jefferson's "Blood of patriots and tyrants" line and say they will act when the time is necessary. DePape thought it was time to act and he did. It really is an inquiry into values and motivation to action. Historically most populations don't rise up to rebel until there is mass poverty and/or starvation. DePape was homeless, in poverty, and probably often starving. The majority of people that make the claim to be "men of action" are too comfortable and have not been pushed to the point where the hopelessness outweighs the risks of action against our corrupt gov. DePape's life did not offer much hope. When you consider Jefferson's speech and consider the state of our government, is DePape a terrorist or patriot? There is often a fine line line between the two and it is just a matter of perspective.

Also, I'm just in a trolling mood today.

Dude didn't look to be missing many meals to me.

The biggest common denominator in homelessness is severe mental illness and/or drug addiction.

Before we go making him into Samuel Adams or Paul Revere, maybe we play the odds and assume bat shit crazy until proven otherwise.

Interesting that you bring up Adams and Revere. At the time of their choice to take action, the public was very divided about the idea of revolution from England. There were just as many people then that would call them patriots as would call them terrorists, or the new fav word of the left, insurrectionists.

Also DePape is obviously a nutjob.
Wait and see.
I would be willing to bet he takes a plea deal with an insanity defense and gets confined to a mental health treatment facility rather than jail.

ALL of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were committing treason. We can NEVER forget that. They were traitors to The Crown.

@YoDoug is right, it's all a matter of perspective.

You mean like Neuro's perspective that Pelosi wasn't in his underwear?

When did I say that?

A bunch of people here were saying that "both" were in their underwear and you can clearly see in the video that it was ONLY Pelosi.  Dig deeper in to the thread and you can see that whoever it was that initially reported the "fact", retracted it because it was horse shit.

Technically, we don't know if DePape is "in" underwear because he has pants on. He very well may be in underwear, again just a matter of perspective.
