I spent 8 years in Texas and had the pleasure of working with, Shooting with and Shooting the Bull with a few

fine Republic of Texas members.

Also with the Texas Waco, and The Grays episodes.

So yea I am Familiar.

From my view point this kid should be alive.

He was pulled over for an Infraction that The Officer escalated.

And fellow officers elevated beyond. resulting in his Death.

There is a reason for my post as I will share it later.

But would like to hear your Opinion. All included.

And to be clear The Gentlemen I associated with were under no inclination to overthrow or attack the federal government.

They just made it clear they were not to be governed by it. and had never given those rights to it.

Wow that body cam video is horrible. In no way should the police immediately open fire the moment someone says 'gun'. I agree that kid should still be alive. However those 'types' are known for pushing the line and trying to cause trouble. The kid put himself in that situation, but the cops escalated it. Did he actually have a gun or was he only wearing a holster?

My only source of knowledge about sovereign citizens are the YouTube videos I've seen.

They don't show them in a very good light.

read the back history. and no he never pulled nor displayed a gun. afaik

The main opposition is FEDERAL. But it complies with Individual freedoms implied in the Constitution.

freedom to travel unrestricted by law. freedom to carry for protection. and such.

My main concern is where was the gun? If it was in his hand that is a whole lot different than tucked between the seats or in the door pocket.

Agreed, but if he was drawing and pointing that could be considered justified. But not knowing exactly where it is I can't make any judgment call at this time. And at this time I see no reason to light him up with 40-ish rounds either.

Speaking of police video, I'm surprised no one here has yet mentioned the video of the East Cleveland officers that came out a week or so ago.

What about when they're behind the wheel of a car going down the highway and claim they weren't driving they were traveling?

I mostly see videos of traffic stops where they have fake tags and no license or insurance and say they weren't driving they were "traveling", and always lose. I don't think it's the same group.
