Although I think we only have about 3 TS users?
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Mastercam is so easy, even a 6 year old can use it...
:whistling:

It has a pretty steep learning curve compared to MC.

I was able to figure out MC fairly easily aside a few tricks that I was shown early on.  I don't think that you'd get very far in TS without some kind of training.  Those Frenchies like to hide functionality under strange wording that nobody understands.

Ya but Newbeeee is a Frenchie so he would probably think it makes perfect sense.

I will admit that without initial training you would be pretty lost in TopSolid. After the first week course though it comes pretty quickly. There is a lot of great videos and tutorials out there as well. That being said, I'd be ok with a forum for support.

SolidWorks has been on my To Do list of things to learn for a while. LOL Can't seem to want to make time for it.

Inventor fills every single one of my CAD needs, and then some, and it's easy for me. Prior to inventor I was using CATIA for CAD and that was pretty easy for me too.

I was thinking the exact same thing except for Siemens NX.

Of course I may be the only NX user here....

Are you familiar with Catia?  They are alike in complexity.  There are about 10 different ways to program something and sometimes only one of those will give you the actual results you are looking for, so I spend a lot of time tweaking toolpath options to get what I want.

Yes, my shop spent three years/$250K  on a failed implementation of Catia
Other than an 80 hour class condensed to 40 hours I didn't spend much time with it.
It was an epic failure

Mike is already on here. He posts occasionally. He is also right about TS. Best all around CAD/CAM/PLM software I have ever used.

Would we make different categories?

"Top Solid Support Forums"

"Nx Support Forums"

etc..

?

That's actually not a bad idea.
