The thought that they could be elected again is beyond any reasonable judgement I could have. It just blows my mind.

When you control the voter rolls, voting machines, state SOS offices, etc. you don't have to worry about silly things like campaigning or debating.

I fully expected him to run. There is so much evidence of massive illegal activities of the Biden crime family that he had no choice but to run again. If Trump gets a second term he will appoint DOJ prosecutors that will do their job this time. He will go full scorched earth, as he should.

The Republican base will likely nominate Trump for the presidency so we will have Biden/somebody again in 2024.

The blame is squarely on you Republicans.

I hope not. As of now I'm hoping Niki Hayley gets the nomination as I believe she can get more independent and democratic voters and women voters. As of now she is not toxic like Trump and Desantis.

I agree. But she's not going to get nominated by the Republican base in the primaries. She's not crazy enough.

I'm still holding out that we can get off the insanity train. But you may be right. The Trump base is strong in republican primaries but NOT strong enough in a national election

I suspect that is why they are doing everything they can to keep him in the spotlight. They think he can win the primary but not the election.

I guess I have a different take on Trump and Biden. Biden running basically shores up any swing votes. A different Dem candidate could provide a different option, but more Biden means more of the same. Crashing home prices, high interest, high inflation, pending recession/depression, etc. In polls swing voters almost always vote by their pocket book, as the saying goes. You also have to question how the constant in-your-face trans/BLM/etc. movement hits the swing voters. Traditionally swing voters are very moderate and don't like extreme views on either side.

Likewise there are a lot of R's that would possibly sit this one out if they saw a choice of Trump or a more moderate Dem, but truthfully most R's would vote for any R to vote against the continued destruction of the America they know by more of Biden.

Remember, in 2020 Trump got more votes than any other presidential candidate ever! People are not tired of Trump, they are tired of the lefts constant baseless attacks on him. The 70 million plus votes Trump got in 2020 were votes for more of his same policies that lead to record low unemployment, record high wages, low interest, low gas prices/energy, no new foreign wars, etc. Yes, the left would love to see one of the dozens of baseless attacks actually stop Trump from running, but the truth is they are really secretly hoping it will erode his support by tiring people of the constant mayhem.

that might be believable if we didn't have the 2022 election results to study. Take a look at the candidates who most closely aligned themselves with him. How did they do?

He had + & -'s as a president. I liked a lot of what he did. But his time is passed.

I'm guessing that most moderates/centrists aren't watching the type of media that is constantly throwing it in their faces.
