I love the food in Vegas! You can get any culture of Top-notch cuisine within a few miles. Go to some kick-ass shows, the top of the stratosphere for the rides, or jump off of it LOL.  Go see some Titties anywhere!

Having been to Vegas a few times, head downtown to Freemont St.
Stay at Four Queens, The D, anywhere down there.
The strip is just way too expensive and once you've experienced it... meh. Who wants to pay $10 for a beer when you can pay $2 downtown for the same beer and party in the street!
Binions has an amazing steakhouse upstairs. I had one of the best prime ribs I've ever had there and surprisingly not over the top expensive either.

We go at least a couple times a year, and we don't gamble. It's just a cheap, direct flight out of South Bend for us and a nice escape from midwestern weather.

We have stayed about everywhere but Tuscany Suites & Casinos is the favorite.

Just a couple blocks off the strip, plenty of good food and beverages. Nice pool, and if you are discrete and don't get crazy, they don't give you grief about packing in your own drinks, even though the sign says NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES.

Oh, and, check their calander for any "special" events they might have going on during any potential stay. We landed smack in the middle of a bear convention, and I don't mean the four legged kind. I'm not a clingy guy, but I held onto the wifey tight that week.

We really like hiking at Red Rocks, just a 30 minute drive. Or Valley of Fire State Park, about an hour away.

Best steak house is at the Circus Circus (#1 rated).

If you like the Beatles go to the Cirque Du Soleil show at the Mirage, it is outstanding.

If you go to Fremont street hold on to your wallet, lots of pick pockets there. It is worth going to this area, lots going on.

Stay away from the upper end of the strip near the Stratosphere hotel, lots of crack heads up there.
