In 1976 my friend and I hitchhiked to Cali heading to Ridgecrest to my friend's father and step mom.
Leaving a lot of stuff out of this story, somewhere around Pomona? we got picked up by a van that ended up with us overdosing on "hash juice". The policeman said we each drank $600 worth of the juice. We ended up signing a "Medical" paper and paid nothing. Other than me not being able read a billboard for a week we made out OK. BTW his dad and step mom were both Ridgecrest cops and knew all about our episode.

I asked my wife, she's not overly concerned given we know someone going through cancer care in Ontario right now and it's been fine - regardless of what Newsmax is saying, or how screwed up Doug Ford specifically wants to make the health care system, by fighting with the nurses who make it run
