Anybody else here into Plex for Media and TV?

I'm building NAS hardware and going to run TrueNAS Scale which uses ZFS partitioning (instead of RAID)
Going to start with one 500gb SSD for the OS and three 14tb NAS Drives with room for a couple more if needed. (Seagate IronWolf Pro)
Will install Plex as a virtual machine and use PCI passthru for Hardware Decoding on the fly.
(Using Nvidia P4 hardware) https://images.nvidia.com/content/pdf/tesla/184457-Tesla-P4-Datasheet-NV-Final-Letter-Web.pdf

Should be able to stream media to any/all devices in my house at the same time.
Let the fun begin......... 8)

TrueNAS Scale is running Debian so I would assume so?

I have a plex server running on a synology.

I was going to build my own from an old pc that I have in the closet using freebsd but the synology was just easier.

My Ubuntu server was setup with it. Havn't had a HDD go bad, so can't claim fault tolerance

lol.. HUH?

What would make it good for a NAS?

I don't think that any market NAS use ZFS?

I'm not trying to fuck with you (too much)  I've actually asked this question about 8 years ago.  I was trying to build my own media center using FreeBSD.

I've used FreeBSD since  the 90's.. I've used it to build a home router before routers were a thing.  I still have a bunch of home made firewall scripts using open bsd pf firewall

You know how to use them?  Are they stable?

ubuntu setup handles the install when installing and ...trying to remember if webmin has support for it.
