My girlfriend, a buddy of mine, and myself are headed to Philadelphia for this upcoming weekend.

After that, this Monday my girlfriend and I head all the way to Cali to Disneyworld for a week.

In a few weeks we've got an annual family trip to Lake George in NY.

Y'all got any good vacations coming up? I see Smit and Incog have both been to Vegas recently.

My vacation this year is recouping at home for 3+ weeks after surgery...YaY!

Sorry to hear that JP.
I hope you bounce back quickly.

Me and the Mrs. are doing a 'staycation' starting tomorrow and returning to work on July 10th.
Just hanging out at home and trying to do as little as possible is my goal for the entire week.

We are hoping the weather cooperates so we can hang out by the pool during the day and sit by the firepit at night.

Long range forecast isn't great for next week, but even if it rains we will still enjoy the time off.

Nice. I've heard Philadelphia is really a great place to visit. Tons of very interesting history and lots of museums. That's a bucket list thing for me.

You're really getting around the country!

The wife and I are going to Mexico in September for a week, then in January I'm planning a trip to the Philippines for 3 weeks. One week each in 3 different places.

That's going to be my retirement gift to myself.

This fall the wife and with our small dog are planning to do a two week drive out west (From western WI). Places of interest are Yellowstone, Montana, South Dakota and possibly Colorado. We don't have specific itinerary and I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions. It's our treat to ourselves for a late 30th wedding anniversary trip.
We want to enjoy a quiet scenic drive with some hiking (easy walking hikes =).

I highly recomend https://fwp.mt.gov/stateparks/lewis-and-clark-caverns/
we stayed in one of their cabins, the caves are very cool.
I assume car camping? plan at least two days at yellow stone. hopefully you can get reservations at their camp. they only have one that allows tent camping due to bear intrusion.
also https://www.nps.gov/glac/index.htm is awsome drive and hiking ops.

I'll be going to Leavenworth Washington at the end of July.

I heard they have a new mountain side roller coaster that I'd like to try out.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

That sounds amazing, if it were up to me this would be what we were doing. But she wanted to go to Europe and I wanted to stay home, the compromise was Disneyland.

That looks epic. Now I'm going to have to look for a roller coaster like this closer to home.

Rollercoaster junkies on the East Coast need look no further than Cedar Point.

If you have never been there, I highly recommend putting it on your list.

Is that one you ride down on your own individual cart and can control the braking and such, or is that an actual roller coaster?

YoDoug

Going to my parents lake house tomorrow for the long weekend. Nothing other than that planned.

I picked up a used 6M trans and a new ACT stage 1 clutch for my MS3. I may take a day or two off to do the swap and a few other things needed on the car. It could use and injector clean/swap and being DI you have to pull the intake to get to them.

My vacations are usually centered around fly fishing, because trout don't live in ugly places.
