New (to me) fishing kayak -

Since I kinda struck out on kayak 1 and ended up with something that you couldn't turn your head without tipping over, I decided to try again. 

This time I'm getting a 38" wide 12' long paddle kayak that's wired for a trolling motor if I decide to go that route. 

I'm going to give ole tippy to ST so my go-pro can catch some laughs while I'm striking out on the trout. 

I still haven't been able to lake fish so I'm looking forward to trying it. I'm mostly a riverbank salmon and steelhead fisherman.

I've never really lake fished before.  I fish for mostly river salmon and steelhead.  I have no idea what I'm doing so this should look fairly silly.

They stock most of the lakes around my house with small trout but they do that in April and May. The lakes get flooded with fisherman so I don't expect there to be much left to fish for. 

I plan on getting a light rod and fishing with spinners.  I kinda like active fishing.   I get bored watching a float or sinking things to the bottom.

When I was a little kid my family would go fishing on the river; this was all with cane poles, worms and bobbers. I would be extremely board and get in trouble for throwing rocks and scaring the fish.

I learned the hard way that taking kids fishing is not always about catching fish, but having fun skipping stones and exploring along the banks. That's what makes them want to do it again.

This guy did a lot of custom work on this thing. It's really nice. It took an hour to get him to stop talking about it this morning.

That's a nice looking fishing set up. I'd love to have one of those for inland fishing in the gulf.

I'm thinking you should prolly just drop the GPS Location where we can drop the Fishy Wreaths.

Or maybe one o' those floating Donuts as a marker for where you went Down.

Don't worry I will check up on ST She apparently has the skills to float a Kayak!

I took it out today and I'm just saying.. I'm exhausted. 

Not from the kayaking.  from putting it in and taking it out of the truck. 

This thing is awesome.  I'm able to stand up in it and lean over the side without it tipping over.
