I went to the zoo on Saturday with some of my kids and grandkids. It was a great day and great visit.
Now, I love watching videos of interactions between gorillas or orangutans and people through the glass at zoos. Showing off their babies, watching videos, etc.

We got to the gorilla habitat. 2 silverbacks were sleeping indoors, but, outdoor there was a gorilla standing in front of the glass. I got kind of excited imagining the displays of intelligence I was sure I was about to witness.

I got my phone out and, as soon as I started recording, she moved her hand from behind her. It's holding a big old fistful of poop. Then she started nibbling on it.

I choose to believe that I did witness a high level of intelligence. She was tired of all these yahoos staring and making faces at her and decided to give them something to look at.

I have a 3 second video of the gorillas.

They will eat weeds and grass, it goes undigested and passes thru the butt. Then they will pull said grass and weeds out from their aforementioned butt and start eating it again.

Now....who's hungry?
