I can honestly say I have not spent a second of my life watching CMT (country music television)
so I have zero skin in the game, but having said that...

I've read that several big country stars have pulled their music off CMT and one
cancelled a 20 plus million dollar project he was working on with CMT.

The problem is, all these big corporations are managed by business majors from the ivy league schools.
These schools are all ultra liberal, 99.9% Democrat and ultra woke.
I think is a recent poll from Stanford said that 40% of the student body identifies as gay, bi, tri, trans, etc etc.

That makes the management of these big corporation completely out of touch with their customer base.

Given the violent, sexist, racist crap that passes for rap music these days.. black balling a country music
star for the lyrics in Try that in a Small Town is hypocrisy cubed.

CMT, MTV, VH1, etc, are completely irrelevant since YouTube took over. Honestly I didn't even realize CMT was still a channel before last week.

You didn't know he was the performer on stage at the Route 91 festival in Vegas when it got shot up? I'd consider him more Southern Rock than Country, but he's one of the biggest out there right now.
