I got out of the hospital yesterday, after going in by ambulance early Thursday morning.

It was a sobering experience; I'm usually in there for kidney stones or tests. Suddenly I'm in ICU with a Nitro drip in my arm trying not to have a hear attack.

I live by myself. I woke up at about 2:20 Thursday morning in quite some distress. I got myself dressed and went out to the car to drive myself to the hospital.  By the time I got to my car I knew I couldn't drive, and called 911. Soon I heard a lone siren in the early morning quiet and knew it was coming for me. It was a little eerie.

I got back to work this afternoon. Spirit just did their annual salary exercise for engineers and technical workers. My boss handed me the sheet with my new info on it.

It made me think of how far I've come from being a 15 year old picking up garbage at a drive in movie theater for 85 cents an hour in the blazing Kansas summer; or the lawn mowing business my buddy and I had. One of us would mow the front and one the back for a dollar a piece.

God has truly blessed me in spite of how many times I tried to sabotage his efforts.

Glad you're here to tell the tale.

Crazy how sometimes it seems like stuff happens literally overnight.

Wow...that's a little too close for comfort!
I'm glad you called for help and they got there in time.

Yes, a health scare always gets us thinking about the brevity of life, and the choices we have made.

I second Jame's comment, glad you're here to share your story.

Life can be very humbling sometimes, we just have to be humble enough to recognize it and be grateful.

Hope your alright Mowen's and that today and the next will always be better for you!

Wow, I'm glad you made it through. Take it easy at work and let your body heal, another ambulance ride would not be good.

Shit was sour for about two years.

But last few months I dropped 32 lbs, Quit smoking and  have the liquor under approved measures.

My Doc saw my effort and said "Lets go"

I'm glad you are getting yourself checked out.

I haven't been through the shit you've been through, but I know how easy it is to look around at your life and just say "fuck it, I'm tired of this shit" and just start waiting for the widowmaker to finally clog up.

There are people who care about us who we would be surprised to learn even know our names.
