I might be naive (and am) but if I'm investing in your company and you're doing something I don't like, or in this case, I'm pressuring you to do something that I want, pulling my money isn't blackmail.

Then why do you blame Desantis for pulling state funds out of AB if he disagrees with the morals of the company? He's been elected by the people of florida. Part of his duty, or I guess, someone he appoints' duty to manage those funds and he's acting on the conservative principals that got him elected. What's the problem?

I don't. I think that those tax breaks should have been pulled regardless of the culture war b/s.  What DeSantis did was punish Disney for free speech.  I do have an issue with that. As Megyn Kelly pointed out, this isn't going to be ok when the other side does it to you.

He made the argument that he was funding their campaign against State legislation, but he's arguing semantics.  He never had an issue with them until they criticized something he signed in to law. Is this really what we want from our government?
