What are you going do for health insurance? It's the big thing holding me back.

Obamacare. When democrats say the old system of tying H.I. to a job wherein only there were per-existing conditions covered was idiotic, they do have a point.
 Being able to retire early by living in a 1982 winnebago just off skid row and pulling $25k out of your investments with zero Obamacare premium, until SSI and medicare kicks-in is a good way to bring the system down.

Sorry to hear about your sister. We lost my sister in law in 2020 to breast cancer. She waited too long to se a doctor.  Diagnosed February 14 and she passed April 1. Very fast.

I was Lucky. going through the Shit with My Ex I told the Judge to "Fuck Off" He sentenced me to 30 Days in County.

Lost My Job. Sooo when I got out I filed for FSSA.

was approved. Covid Hit and you could not be thrown off the Merry Go Round.

I have not responded to one Request for benefits.

But am still included.

I believe at 67 you can file for Medicare with Full benefits.

Like I said My Father paid in, My Sister paid in, and received Not one Benefit.

My Stepmother and My sisters Husband received a $255 benefit after a Lifetime of Payments.

So what I can say is this, I will proactively try to receive every Penny "I" put in.
