it seems a little silly to say that Desantis needs a "clear concise message and that he has to walk a tight rope" and then to judge what he said in the interview from a headline. It just seems like if you think that, you would pay particular attention to the verbiage used.

I didn't judge from a headline. I read an article reviewing his interview. They had exact quotes in it, including the time he said Trump is false when he says the 2020 election was fraudulent. And yes, he needs to figure out how to court MAGA voters while distancing himself from Trump for the sake of the R establishment. The hardest part of that is MAGA principals are good for main street, not Wallstreet. The big biz donors don't want to hear about how he will increase wages and decrease unemployment. They want to hear him say he will keep their Corporatocracy going strong.

Despite what you and Smit think, I don't think Trump walks on water. I think he made mistakes, many during Covid and especially in regards to Fauci. That is what I meant by DeSantis needing to distance himself from Trump, stay on point, and don't be led by the media. Discussing how Trump handled Covid is a no win for him. DeSantis should have said something along the lines of what matters is how He/FL handled Covid.
