Let's see if I can get this to work =)
So the wife and I (and our Pup) were able to take our "Western" trip here recently. Thanks for the travel ideas, we ended up going this route.
From Wisconsin we head out to Rapid City SD and checked out Custer Park and the Needle Pass. Then headed down to Colorado Springs to the 'Red Rock" open area by the "Garden of the gods". We then headed over to MOAB Utah. That was our extent out west so we then headed back north to go home through "Winter Part CO" and then through Wyoming up to "Wall SD". Yes we did the last stop so we could go to the Wall Drug store =).
It was Our first time doing a driving trip like this especially through the mountains (HOLY CHIT BATMAN HOLD MY BEER). The scenery was incredible and we definitely will be going back to each place.
Hopefully my pictures post here but here are a couple to share.

If someone wouldn't mind trying the link and let me know if it worked I'd appreciate it.
Thx ~ Brad

Isn't that Winter Park, Colorado??
I remember it well.

I hit a frozen lake at the bottom of a hill skiing off the marked courses.
Damned near killed myself.

Yes it is G =), it was the only way to travel we rode the gondola up and hiked around. Then we rode it back down.
We hit the Corn Palace, Sylvan lake, Red Rock open area in Colorado Springs. Then over to Moab and since pets aren't allowed into some of the national parks now except in your vehicles or the parking lots we found some arches that were out on the BLM land. The one pics are of the Dead horse paint park and the colorado river below.

Just got back from a week in Siesta Key with the old lady, boy kid, and his girlfriend.

Boy kid can't sit still, so he bought an overpriced fishing pole at the local bait shop and fished off the beach or down at Point of Rocks. Caught a ton of fish, nothing huge, but kept him busy.

Me and his GF rented paddle boards. She took to it a little faster than me. The fact that I'm old and fat and she's a 27 year old yoga instructor probably played a role in that. No Incog, no pics.

My uncle drove over from Winter Haven to join us for a 6 hour fishing charter. We tore up schools of tuna, Spanish mackerel, and red snapper. Hauled some of our catch to a local bar who'd cook it for us, two nights in a row. Still had enough to send my uncle home with a cooler full for his freezer.
