Quote from: YoDoug on October 05, 2023, 08:18 AMPure optics. Biden OK's the build of a couple miles of border wall. Then they monitor that section until full election season next year and see crossing at that section drop by xx%. Then Jean-Pierre gets in front of the camera and with a straight face states the border is more secure than ever and crossings are at an all time low. Then the media runs with it and dumbsmits everywhere eat it up hook, line, and sinker.

that all may very well be true. but most of the evidence points to the fact that there is pressure being put on him by politicians of his own party to do something. and the pressure from those politicians is coming from constituents. They can claim the border is secure all they want but if bus loads of people are showing up at those constituents door steps, it's going to be hard to deny the truth.

Chili's. We normally avoid the big chain restaurants, but when we first got married my wife worked at Chili's so it has a nostalgic feel for us when we go there. Plus I like their Presidente margaritas and chips/salsa.

These immigrants ought to just come to St Louis. there are so many empty housing units there it's unreal.

85 families per month leaving. 88% of the families leaving are black. Leaving because of poor education choices and crime rates. who could blame them? I hope they start to vote differently as well. because democrats have not done a single thing for them.

That's the biggest problem. They vote everything to shit, then leave, vote the same way, and turn the next place to shit. Rinse-repeat.

And here I am, living in the restaurant wasteland of Rochester, with no fucking Chili's...

St Louis over the last few decades has really lost population. Lexington Ky is now bigger than St Louis.

In business, when there is a high tension meeting and both parties are tip toeing around a delicate issue, I'm the guy that says the stuff out loud that no one wants to hear. Inevitably at every job I have, they start excluding me from those types of meetings. I call it like it is.

Yup, those people get tuned out...

Over the years I've learned how to get my point across without having to resort to the "in your face" approach.

Well, mostly

It's not an "in your face" approach. I'm about as low key as they come. I just point out the crap that everyone with their head in the sand doesn't want to hear.
