I believe so, he said its very treatable. Can't find what stage it's in however.

Talking with my oncology nurse wife about him tonight, she says Multiple Myeloma is not necessarily a death sentence anymore. Most live long lives with it, and many die with it not because of it. So...like Covid.  :flame:

If the Republicans vote in Scalise after dumping McCarthy

How and when did the Republican party get this broken.

Been that way for a long time. One of the bigger turning points was GW. The party sort of gave him a pass on opposition because of 911 and the subsequent wars. The resulting massive gov growth and overreaching homeland security admin caused a big divide in the party. Then during Obama the tea party popped up as the conservative wing of the opposing the slow leftward shift the mainstream R party was taking. Also, over the last 20 years or so the world has changed for mega corporations. They have grown so large and their best interest is not the same as the American peoples.

Scalise is out. Rumor says Jordan is going to make a run again at the speaker role.

Del.

They really are the stupid party.

Crystal ball time. If a freedom caucus rep like Jordan gets the speaker nod, McCarthy will be the next benedict McCain. He will position himself as the deciding vote in a split congress and will side with the dems as a big FU.

I'm just a realist.

Imagine Trump gets elected in 2024 and the house stays red but by a slim margin. A vote comes up on an issue, like border security for example. An issue that McCarthy has supported forever. Trump has a special way of pissing of people to the point that they would betray their voters, donors, and everything they stood for just to give him a big FU. Yes, there is a lot of hypothetical things that need to happen to get there, but if it does, don't be surprised when McCarthy sells out to oppose Trump/Freedom Caucus legislation.

Agree with it or not, I can understand why McCain wanted to give the double fuck you to Trump. I mean, Trump was still acting like a petulant jerk off to McCain while he was on his death bed. I mean, who the fuck is Capn bone spur to criticize anyone for their military service or record?

Politics aside, McCain had more class in his foreskin than Trump will ever have.

I do agree that it's possible that McCarthy 'might' retaliate out of spite.  I guess we'll see.
