A highly biased and suspect source, but interesting all the same.
The swamp doesn't like sunshine.

They most certainly do not. It is a shame it took someone to speak of the evil out loud they do in darkness or behind closed doors. When light is shone on them, they scattered like the cockroaches they are.

And the smear machine gets cranked up to 11

QuoteMike Johnson might have been an obscure, four-term congressmember before Wednesday, but if Democrats have their way, he will soon be well-known by every American — as an election denier, an anti-abortion extremist and a slasher of Social Security and Medicare.

Johnson hadn't officially been elected speaker before the Democratic opposition research machinery went full tilt. Democrats have spent the last few days sifting through old shows from Johnson's time as a podcast host and previously authored editorials in his local newspaper.

Smit

Is there a problem with Dems sifting through his podcasts and editorials to find out who he is and what he is about?

I'm not sure about a slasher of social security and medicare but there can be no doubt he's  an election denier and anti abortion extremist. Or at least has been in the past.

Those things are all true though, aren't they?

He's *extremely* opposed to gay marriage - "gay marriage will lead to people marrying their pets" - Wasn't he a spokesman for the Alliance Defending Freedom, which is *very* anti-gay rights?

Pro national abortion ban

Supported and worked to help Trump overturn the 2020 election.

Supports cutting social programs - Del, this one is for you   said that cutting social security, medicare, and medicaid should be a number one priority.

I would imagine that he's going to be popular with the far right, but he's not going to be very popular with independents or the left. We'll have to see how much his ideology comes through while he's in that position.

One of the local Libertarian talk show hosts said that he's a swamp monster in Trump supporter clothing and that he's probably going to be a nail in the coffin for Republicans during the next election cycle.

  Still, I'd never heard of him until yesterday.

not at all..
however, your "election denier" is my speaker of truth
and your "abortion extremist" is my  "someone who objects to the termination of human life."

He's going to get hammered and hammered hard, it will be interesting to see how he holds up.

I mean, we're inching closer to idiocracy every day so I suppose it's a possibility.

They had to pass a law in Washington State in the mid 2000's because some man in Enumclaw was making porn that involved his horse and several different men. One of the men was a Boeing engineer that ended up dying during one of the sex acts. The death sparked an investigation that eventually lead to new bestiality laws in Washington State.

Some people are just in to weird shit but afaik, none of them were interested in marrying the horse.

Just in case anyone is interested in a good laugh this morning - here is the wiki about the incident

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enumclaw_horse_sex_case

I love the comment about the law - Mudede wrote "It was an almost comically easy law to pass";[2] bestiality had little political support in Washington and no group in the state actively advocated for bestiality to be legal.

That whole "election denier" phrase pisses me off. Not one single person, group, gov entity, etc. has provided any actual accounting and validation of the 2020 elections in question. They simply can't because there are so many holes in the process it can't all be accounted for. This doesn't prove fraud, but no one can prove it was legitimate either and there is plenty of evidence to question it. This is the epitome of thought and speech control. You can't question what they say or you are a denier. This goes for elections, climate change, Covid, Vax, gender ideology, etc.

QuoteA woman married her dog. Eamonn Holmes gave the bride away. The groom, a golden retriever, wore a top hat. Love Island's Kem Cetinay acted as a ring-bearer. It played out live and like a David Lynch fever dream on ITV's This Morning on Tuesday. One viewer called it "deeply uncomfortable viewing". "There has to be law against marrying your bloody dog," tweeted another.

While, I disagree with the first 3 sentences. I agree 110% with the latter. No news source had a single problem with election deniers prior to 2020. a lot of dems have been and continue to be election deniers. But the term now is used to simple shut down debate. And the term frustrates me as well. In fact almost every term that the left comes up with and manages to use in the main stream media is like that. when was the last time you heard someone called a "pro abortion extremist" on TV? When was the last time you heard someone called a "gender extremist" on TV? Has anyone yet on TV referred to Stacy Abrams as an "election denier?"  And then there is the "what-have-you Phobe"

The left is a 1 trick pony. label it and dismiss it. It's the one thing Trump took with him from his democrat days to republican days. Label it and dismiss it.

LOL, you disagree so you just dismiss it! Please provide a link to some accurate accounting of the elections. Otherwise you are doing the exact same thing as the Dems by dismissing it without any valid discussion or argument.
