On a side note. I have often questioned why the Jewish community has such overwhelming support for the Dem party given the dems support of anti-semite muslims.

I think this is starting to shift. The reaction to recent events on college campuses and from the Dem
party has made many Jews realize they have aligned themselves to people who hate them.
The depth and fervor of the support for Palestine on American campuses is shocking until you realize
that Quatar has poured billions into the American education system, buying and directing influence
and shaping opinions.

It's interesting to look at that as racism. They pay that same lip service to the poor and the elderly.

I'd have a lot more respect for Democrats if they actually followed through with anything. Having lived in a State that has been run almost exclusively by Democrats for the last 50 years, they don't fix anything. They use issues as leverage to sucker voters in to voting for more taxes. Then when their so called plans to solve problems don't work, they always have an excuse and the only answer is more money. 

And just to be clear on the earlier discussion. I'm not calling either party, as James said in an earlier comment, "the party of racism".

there are jews who are liberal and jews who are conservative. Jews who are secular and Jews who are deeply religious. Just like all other members of society. Freewill is one of the most beautiful and confounding aspects of humanity.

MKD, I'm not trying to push your buttons.. try to find as many racist groups you can and post a link to who they support for president or which party they support in local elections. 

If they all support Democrats I'll never bring it up again.

There are lofty goals on both the left and the right and ugliness on both the left and the right. I recognize within myself, that although, my tendency is always conservative, there is a benefit that I get from my liberal friends who push me out of the conservative comfort zone.

William F Buckley is one of my Heroes. For 35 years he hosted the TV show Firing Line where he held debates and discussions with people he both agreed with and even more often disagreed with. the discussions were always civil, cordial, and enlightening. The conservative in me wishes we could go back to those days of old when discussions were civil.

Sadly the closest thing we have to a neutral host these days is Joe Rogan. Anybody else seems to have an agenda and not allow dissent. It happens on both sides of the isle and their respective media outlets.

There are quite a few independent journalists out there these days that have podcasts who are willing to be neutral in their reporting.  The problem is more that people don't want to hear that. They only want to hear shit that supports their viewpoints. We're becoming a society of ideologues who are unwilling to listen to criticism or admit that there is a possibility that we might be wrong.

I remember when Reko used to argue that there is no such thing as confirmation bias. In his own words, he's just wrong.

You are heading down the right path, you are almost there. Now you just need to acknowledge that this divide was intentionally created and that the true power brokers behind it don't care about party affiliation, they merely care about their power and wealth. Which comes at the cost of American freedom and prosperity.
